This notice covers the Oikos website and the early-access form. The Oikos application has its own terms, which will be published before it is offered to the public.
What we collect
When you ask for early access we collect the details you type: your name, email address, role, country, the rough size of your portfolio and your message, and whether you agreed to us contacting you. We also keep a one-way fingerprint of your connection to limit repeated submissions. We do not store your IP address.
Why
Only to reply to your request and to decide who to invite first.
Where it is kept and for how long
In our database, which is currently a development database on our own equipment. Retention periods and hosting location will be confirmed here before the product is offered to the public.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your details. Contact details for these requests will be published here before launch.
Website analytics
The website does not use third-party tracking. It keeps simple daily counts of page visits by page, language and the website that sent the visitor. It sets no tracking cookies and stores no address or device identifier, so a count cannot be tied to a person. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.
The private beta: accounts, email and sign-in
If you are invited to the private beta we keep your email address, the password you choose (only as a one-way hash), your two-step verification, and what you enter into the application. You choose what to enter; we suggest starting with a sample or with data you are comfortable sharing. The beta is free and may change or stop. You can download everything in your family or delete your family and your login yourself in Settings, and ask us to do it for you.
Who handles your data for us
Our database and file storage are provided by Supabase in the European Union. Email (invitations, password links and, only if you have confirmed it, occasional emails about Oikos) is sent through Resend, which sees your address and the message. The website is delivered through Cloudflare. We do not send your records to any AI service. If we ever do, we will say so here first and ask you.
Cookies
The website sets one cookie, and only if you choose a theme: oikos-theme remembers system, light or dark on this device and holds nothing else. Once you sign in, the theme is also kept on your account, and the application sets the cookies that keep you signed in and nothing else: no advertising, no tracking, no analytics cookies. Signing out or deleting them ends your session.
